American Browning (St. Louis Mo.) A-5 12 GA.
This is a very clean American Browning A5 showing some minor wear and use. There is a chip in the butt stock and some rub marks as well. The bluing looks good. The pictures should tell the rest of the story.
According to Browning, the serial number indicates that this A5 was a WWII gun, manufactured in the Remington manufacturing facility after Browning's plant was damaged heavily during the war. The records connecting specific serial numbers to specific dates of manufacture were lost or destroyed. Browning historians have ESTIMATED mfg. dates and state that this one is from the late 40's to 1951.
