L.C.SMITH IDEAL GRADE Hammerless 12G
This is a VERY NICE 60-70%, complete, original, matching # L.C. SMITH "IDEAL GRADE shotgun, equipped with a "hunter one" trigger. The serial number dates this gun to 1919. The London Steel barrel is un-cut and it's original length of 30" with no detectible buldges and 90% finish. As the finish goes, there is a fair amount of color left on the receiver and trigger. The wood is in good condition with fairly sharp checkering and a nice flush fit to the receiver (there is a chip missing out of the stock on the lower left hand side as the stock meets the receiver **pictured**). I am not sure about the buttplate. When shut this shotgun locks up, it is tight and will not rattle when shook. The ejector is also in good working condition.
