This is a Savage lever rifle, model 1899 in clean, experienced condition. This gun has been used and well kept, the bluing is 70% the lever and receiver. The barrel still retains over 80% of it's bluing with some minor freckling.  The barrel is 22" long and sports a clean and shiny bore with no pitting. The stock retains most of it's original semi gloss finish, shows signs of use but has no dings, scrapes or gouges that would indicate rough or severe use in the brush. Also, the wood fits tight up against the receiver and barrel and retains it's original butt plate. The serial number indicates that this rifle was manufactured in 1912, the caliber is .22 Savage. There is an interesting ammo adaptor included that enables the rifle to fire .22LR
